Russian banya
Museum of Russian vodka
Russian cuisine
Russian banya
Russian culture differs from European. We are aware that
European culture bestows worthy tribute to Russian literature,
music and ballet. We'd like to reveal for you one more element
of Russian culture for you Russian banya (Russian
bath). This word does not exist even in European languages.
In Europe (and in the whole world) they use the term sauna,
though sauna and Russian banya are different.
Warm up first and then check out the steam room (parilka),
which is usually heated to some 100° to 120°C; this
is where you can be beaten about the body with dried branches
(vennik), usually birch, oak or juniper. After that, you can
take a small break to cool down and then get back in. Half
the people in the parilka will claim there's not enough heat
and start calling for someone to throw more water on the hot
rocks, while the other half feebly croak, "too much,
too much". The guys who want more steam usually win.
This combination of heat, steam, and physical abuse purges
your body of impurities and gives you an unforgettable experience
unattainable by mere showers or baths.

Russian cuisine
Russian Cuisine represents a wonderful bouquet of many cultural
traditions and influences that have been absorbed over many
centuries. For instance, tea was brought to Russia as the
most precious gift from a Mongolian khan. This herb overturned
the way of life here and to this day Russians drink tea 3-5
times a day. Tea has always been served with candies, pies,
pryaniki. Rivers, in days of old were overfilled with different
kinds of fish, that made for a variety of fish on the table
in the Kiev Rus. Fish, caviar and milt became part and parcel
of every meal and especially of "Zakuski". However,
the basic food of Russian cuisine goes back to ancient times
and include all kinds of vegetables, mushrooms, meat, milk
products, honey, fruit and berries.
